1、 Preparation before installation
Tools and materials
Automatic drinking bowl (including matching nipple water dispenser or float valve)
PVC water pipe/hose (diameter matching drinking water system)
Puncher, wrench, raw material tape (sealing thread)
Hook or bracket (required for hanging installation)
Level ruler (to confirm water flow balance)
Site selection requirements
Height: Adjust according to the age of the chicken, the bottom of the chicken bowl should be level with the back (about 5-8cm high), and the adult chicken should be 15-20cm.
Location: Keep away from the feed trough to prevent contamination; Good ventilation but avoid direct sunlight.
2、 Installation steps
A. Connect water source
Installation of main pipeline
Connect the main water pipe to the water source (water tank or tap water) and install a main valve to control the water flow.
Use three-way connectors to branch out branch pipelines to various areas of the chicken coop.
Fixed drinking bowl
Hanging type: Use hooks to secure the bowl to the chicken coop or bracket, ensuring that the bowl is level.
Pole type: Insert the bowl base into the ground fixing rod, adjust the height, and tighten the screw.
pipeline connection
Drill holes in the corresponding positions of the branch pipes and install drinking bowl interfaces (nipple or float type).
Wrap the raw material tape around the thread to prevent water leakage, and tighten the interface with a wrench.
B. Water level adjustment
Float valve adjustment
After injecting water, observe the position of the float and adjust the curvature of the float rod until the water level in the bowl reaches 2/3 full.
Test whether the water flow automatically replenishes during chicken pecking (sensitivity needs to be confirmed for float type).
Nipple test
Gently touch the nipple to check if the water flows smoothly (drip frequency of about 1-2 drops per second).
Adjust the water pressure valve (if any) to ensure no splashing or interruption.
3、 Precautions for use
First use
Flushing pipeline: Drain residual debris from the boiling water valve and continue flushing for 1-2 minutes.
Guide the flock of chickens: Gently press the nipple to release water or dip the beak wet to help them learn how to use it.
routine maintenance
Cleaning: Check the water quality inside the bowl daily and disassemble and clean it once a week (soak it in white vinegar or a special agent based on actual conditions).
Antifreeze: Install insulation sleeves or use heating bases in winter to avoid freezing.
Check for water leakage: Regularly check the sealing of the interface and nipple, and replace the aging rubber ring.
Fault handling
No water flow: Check if the main valve, water pressure, or nipple is blocked (use a fine needle to unclog).
Continuous dripping: Adjust the float angle or replace damaged valves.
5、 Anran Reminder
Avoid using inferior plastic bowls (which may release harmful substances).
Circuit installation (such as heating devices) requires waterproof treatment (based on actual reports), and it is recommended to be operated by electricians.
Close the main valve when the water is stopped to prevent abnormal water discharge caused by air accumulation in the empty pipe.
