1、 Preparation before installation
Survey site
Determine the installation location (usually at a high point on the roof or side wall), avoiding obstacles such as beams and wires.
Measure the opening size and confirm that it matches the ventilation window frame (with a reserved installation gap of about 5cm).
Prepare tools and materials
Electric drill, screwdriver, tape measure, level, sealant (waterproof).
Ventilation window body, bracket, expansion bolt, waterproof (based on actual report) gasket.
Check the equipment
Confirm that the ventilation window blades and motor (if any) are not damaged, and manually test whether the opening and closing are smooth.
2、 Installation steps
1. Positioning and Opening
Mark the outline of ventilation windows on the roof or wall, use cutting tools (such as angle grinders) to make holes, and the edges should be smooth.
Attention: If it is a color steel tile roof, it is necessary to avoid corrugated protrusions to prevent water leakage.
2. Fixed bracket
Fix the bracket around the opening with expansion bolts and confirm its levelness (calibrated with a spirit level).
Install waterproof (based on actual reports) rubber pads on the contact surface between the bracket and the roof to prevent water seepage.
3. Install the main body of the ventilation window
Place the ventilation window into the bracket and fix it from the inside with screws, with a screw spacing of ≤ 30cm.
Apply sealant at the joint (it is recommended to use weather resistant silicone), and double waterproof both inside and outside (based on actual reports).
4. Connect the control system (electric version)
Wiring: Lead the power cord from the control box to the motor, protect it with conduit to avoid exposure.
Wiring: Connect the motor wires (usually the live wire, neutral wire, and signal wire) according to the instructions, and test whether the forward and reverse directions are normal.
5. Debugging and Testing
Manually check whether the blade opening and closing are flexible and free of jamming.
Test remote control or temperature control function for electric models: set temperature threshold (such as automatic activation at 28 ℃).
3、 Precautions
Waterproof (based on actual reports) and leak proof
The sealant should cover all the joints, and check whether the glue has aged and cracked before the rainy season.
When installing on a sloping roof, the ventilation windows should be slightly higher than the roof to avoid rainwater backflow.
Anran Standard
When working at heights, it is necessary to wear safety belts and reinforce the support structure when the roof load is insufficient.
Electric models require grounding wires to prevent electrical leakage.
Maintenance Recommendations
Clean the dust on the blades every month, and add lubricating oil to the motor bearings every year.
Remove the snow promptly after winter snowfall to prevent damage to the windows.
4、 Common problem handling
Leakage of air and water: Apply sealant or replace waterproof pads (based on actual reports).
Motor not working: Check the power supply, fuse, and test whether the manual mode is normal.
Loud noise: Tighten the screws and check if the blades are deformed.
